Fairbanks Meeting

Who: Alaska Arctic Policy Commission Meeting in Fairbanks
What: The focus of the next Alaska Arctic Policy Commission meeting will be the work products that together constitute the Preliminary Report due to the Alaska State Legislature in January 2014. Commissioners will review the State of Alaska’s Arctic (SOAA) Background Document and discuss draft policy team recommendations. In addition, Commissioners will have an opportunity to informally work with the draft guiding principles language and learn more about research at the University of Alaska.
When: Tuesday October 22nd 10AM -5:15 PM & Wednesday October 23rd 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Why: Discuss Arctic Policy Concerns
Where: Day one of the Fairbanks meeting will take place at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Campus, Butrovich Hall and International Arctic Research Center. Day two will be at Pike’s Waterfront Lodge, Binkley Room 2.
